Original France 1990 match-worn shirt (Luis Fernandez) – incl. certificate of authenticity
Product detailed description
We are offering an exceptionally rare collector's piece – an original match-worn shirt of the French national team from the EURO 1992 qualifier against Czechoslovakia. This particular shirt was worn in the match by legendary French midfielder Luis Fernandez.
The shirt comes directly from the private collection of former Czechoslovak and Slovak international Michal Hipp, who swapped it with Fernandez right on the pitch immediately after a hard-fought match.
Shirt details:
- Match: France vs. Czechoslovakia (2:1), 13 October 1990, Parc des Princes, Paris.
- Player: Luis Fernandez (squad number 15 in traditional white print on the back).
- Design: Adidas with the classic retro "trefoil" logo on the chest. Long-sleeved version with a striking asymmetric design in the French national colours (blue, white, red).
- Special feature: Special gold embroidery below the crest: "FRANCE TCHECOSLOVAQUIE 13-10-1990", applied exclusively to the shirts made for this match.
- Condition: Consistent with its age (over 30 years) and match use. The fabric and the chest embroidery are in excellent, well-preserved condition. The number 15 on the back shows distinct patina and cracking, which is entirely standard for early-1990s prints and serves as further proof of the shirt's authenticity and age.
Authenticity and provenance (COA): The shirt comes with an official certificate of authenticity (COA) personally signed by Michal Hipp, guaranteeing its provenance. The gallery also includes photographic proof of M. Hipp holding this exact shirt.
